    This recipe for making poaching the shrimp was fantastic. It worked perfectly and the shrimp were really delicious and very well flavored. We used the shells in the poaching liquid and I am saving the poaching broth and freezing it to poach another batch. However, there and many better cocktail sauces. My go to sauce is the standard cocktail sauce page 121 of The Ubibuitous Shrimp cookbook. So my recommendation is use this recipe for poaching the shrimp and put it together with your favorite cocktail sauce.
