Basil chicken {Pad grapow chicken) from Cravings - Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat (page 119) by Chrissy Teigen and Adeena Sussman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Can substitute Thai chiles for serrano chiles.

This was good overall and super easy for a weeknight dinner. I served it with brown rice, broccolini and chili crisps It definitely needs a vegetable on the side! Next time I may use less soy sauce and fish sauce as it seemed to overpower it a bit.

I have used this as a base recipe often and gone crazy with it. When I normally make this, I start with a pound of mushrooms (I know... hear me out. They disappear in the end.) I've also added broccoli. Both make the dish more substantive and filling. I also tend to use more sauce than Chrissy says, even if I am just doing it her way. Agree it's not a life changing sauce, but it works and is simple. I wouldn't say this is the most authentic basil chicken recipe ever (Night + Market has a better one), but it hits the spot.

This made a nice chicken stir-fry for a weeknight meal. We weren't blown away, but weren't upset with it either. I was surprised by how tender the chicken breast turned out.

Good quick recipe. I used 3 Thai chillies and family thought it was spiced just right. A bit too hot for me.

As mentioned quick and easy. Great weeknight dinner.

I didn't think that this tasted authentic enough although it was quick and easy.

Absolutely loved this. I used chicken thighs instead of breasts and half a habanero in place of the Serrano. This will make the regular rotation at our house. It was super simple and a very quick dinner!

This made for a perfectly adequate dinner. I used regular basil and 3 Thai chiles. It was simple and flavorful. Both my husband and I, however, were underwhelmed. I have much better stir fries in my repertoire and I don't think this one will be repeated.

This was delicious and so easy! Would be a great weeknight meal, very quick to put together. I used regular basil leaves as I couldn't find Thai basil.

I loved the flavors. I added extra Thai chiles, and also some green beans (I am big on vegetables). So good for so little work!
