Raisin bars from Dorie's Cookies (page 77) by Dorie Greenspan

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I enjoyed these bars. The combination of oats, brown sugar, and almonds makes a delicious base and topping, almost caramel-like. I used rum in the raisin filling, which I recommend. I used a parchment sling for easy removal from the pan without inverting the bars. I found it best to cut the bars once fully cooled. I think I would also like these with a raspberry or apple filling. I froze the bars as there are only two of us to eat them. The flavor intensified. Really good.

Absolutely delicious, but not an easy cookie to present (or eat!) neatly. Very crumbly.
