Raspberry and pistachio trifle from Guillaume: Food for Family (page 53) by Guillaume Brahimi

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Quite a few popular media sources banged on about how this was the best thing they’d ever eaten, so for Christmas I decided that I was going to give it a go. Quite intensive due to the number of processes (but none being especially complex), it was no mean feat with 3x little people underfoot. The outcome: underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, it’s perfectly fine. But as a combination of over-hyped deliciousness & the significant time commitment, it was disappointingly ‘ok’. For rave-worthy trifles, head to Annabel Langbein - they never fail to impress.
