Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Well .. it was worth the expense, and wait! This is the best tasting (think Christmas pudding taken to excessive levels), moistest "cake" .. the vote was it would be "elevated with a side of some rum & raisin ice cream"!. Worthy of your investigation (if you like taste of Christmas).

    This rates as the most expensive cake I have ever made.. $98 (AUD), and that doesn't factor in cost of cooking.. It had better be good when I finish basting it with this gorgeous syrup!!
