Errata from authors: The recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour; it should also call for 1 3/4 cups pastry or cake flour (or you can substitute another 1 1/4 cups all purpose). This line was omitted from the ingredients list. Our apologies to anyone who ended up with an overly dense cake as a result of the typo.
Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?
Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.
