Chocolate chip cookies from The Complete Make-Ahead Cookbook: From Appetizers to Desserts--500 Recipes You Can Make in Advance (page 386) by America's Test Kitchen

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Crisp edges and soft center, not what I'd call a chewy style cookie on baking day. They're decent- butter is the predominant flavor despite all the dark chocolate. My dough looked darker and spread more than the book photos. Something about them just isn't as compelling as some other chocolate chip cookies I've made or bought.....maybe I've become a chocolate chunk only person over the years. Update: these are significantly better after storing overnight. They're uniformly lightly chewy and have a more balanced flavor. Still not as chocolaty as I was hoping, but the texture is right.
