Neapolitan pound cake (for the family) from Sweet (page 184) by Yotam Ottolenghi and Helen Goh

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I'd made this before as per the recipe and decided to make again for my daughter's 3rd birthday. Skipped the chocolate/cocoa step and just coloured two of the three parts pink and purple, and divided the icing and did the same. It worked really well! I could have thinned out the icing a bit more for a better looking drip down the sides but the birthday girl was very happy with her unicorn coloured cake and it was enjoyed by the adults as well.

When I went to check on my cake, it was considerably higher on one side. So then I needed to cook it a little longer, which meant it was overcooked and dry...oh the injustice of it all!! The kids still ate it, and I will make it again, without ruining it!
