Bite-size Linzer thumbprints from Rose's Baking Basics: 100 Essential Recipes, with More Than 600 Step-by-Step Photos (page 12) by Rose Levy Beranbaum

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

I used hazelnut meal, so the nuts weren't toasted, but the flavor was still very good. The dough was quite crumbly and took a while to shape; after indenting the centers, I had to go back and smooth out the significant cracks along the edges. I weighed the dough, but many of the cookies must have weighed 13 g rather than 12 g, so I got 32 cookies instead of 34. They still looked pale after 20 min, so I baked them 2 min longer and was happy with the slightly crunchy, yet tender texture. Half the cookies were filled with blueberry-rhubarb jam, and half with raspberry (with seeds). Both were delicious, but I preferred the raspberry.
