    The dessert was very quick and easy with a high effort to results ratio. Dorie also has various versions of this in her books and columns. It’s sometimes called 15 minute magic cake as that is the time it takes to make. It’s quite a shallow cake but very rich so that’s ok. I really liked the bitter edge from the amaretti. Def one to have in your back pocket when you need a quick dessert (as long as you keep amaretti in stock).
