    As Zosia said...a good if a bit basic soup that we did enjoy for dinner. I made a 1/2 recipe with pork in place of turkey, a pint jar of "Rotel" seasoned tomatoes & fine egg noodles added near the end. I added some pesto along with the other herbs & as a finishing touch, I added some candied jalapeno brine...thanks to Not Your Mama's canning book, I can the extra brine alone after filling the main jars & keep as a "secret ingredient" to add a lovely tart/sweet/heat vibe to things. This soup (which I think kids would love as written :) is an idea worth revisiting.

    Very nice soup. It was fairly basic but the herbs were a good addition and the meatballs were tender and flavourful.
