Tiny creamy pasta with black pepper and pecorino from Nothing Fancy: Unfussy Food for Having People Over (page 176) by Alison Roman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Used Israeli couscous.

I wanted an "easily scaled" dinner for one and came here to make 1/3 of the recipe (which still made a lot!). I used ditali pasta and although I am not typically a fan of the one pot style of pasta, this worked to make a creamy sauce. I used a mix of chives & basil and added slivered coppa di parma ham + peas for a more complete bowl. I skipped the eggs (no raw yolks for me!) and would consider repeating.

Creamy enough to be a good alternative to mac and cheese, if you need a little shake up in your standard pasta picks.
