Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Quite easy and yummy. Best with a bit of whipped cream to break up the strong flavor, which is a lovely caramel-y browned taste. We thought there was a touch too much salt (I used table salt and next time would use diamond crystal kosher salt- the recipe didn’t specify). Also, maybe could use a touch more vanilla next time. But overall, an easy stove-top custard and lovely pie.
