    I like the fact that potato slices are cooked stovetop first before baking. Had expired buttermilk that needed to be used up and this added very nice tang to the sauce. I did not have smoked Gouda but used smoked Paprika with combo cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. Very flavorful and quick version of scalloped potatoes.
