Can substitute garlic for scallions, mint for cilantro, and fresh ginger for serrano chiles.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

As usual I used ground pork and as they give lots of flavouring options, I chose garlic, serrano, scallion, a squeeze of lime, a mix of fish sauce/soy sauce and for the herbs - a Thai basil/parsley pesto. Very tasty glazed in a sweet/tangy/hot sauce (similar to their suggested sweet chili sauce) with mixed veg & noodles.

Made these into a bahn mi that was delicious and easy to make! Used online recipe for quick pickled veggies, added spicy mayo and chili garlic sauce. Will make this again!

Son and thought these were really good. I pickled some carrots and turnips using recipe from Vietnamese Food Any Day. I ate my meatballs in lettuce with Mae Ploy and some of the pickled veggies. Son ate his on bread with cheese and hot sauce. For the option choices I went with garlic, cilantro, and serrano. I also used the optional topping of sweet chili sauce.
