Beef burgers with fried tomatoes and chillies from Entertaining by Donna Hay

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I made a couple small tweaks to this recipe and it turned out great. I would definitely make again...... *I was out of worcester sauce. I substituted 2 tbsp of oyster sauce for the 2 tbsp of worcester. *I didn't have dijon mustard but I did have Annie's Horseradish Mustard and substituted the horseradish mustard for the dijon mustard. *Instead of four larger size hamburger patties, I made eight smaller slider size hamburger patties. *For the buns, we used soft Hawaiian rolls that we toasted in the over and melted cheddar cheese on top of. *We diced onions, jalapenos, and sweet peppers and made a hash topping for the burgers. *We mashed some avocado with a pinch of salt and added it inside the roll. *We added a nice dollop of tzatziki sauce from the grocery store deli section instead of mayo. Very good. Everyone was happy. No complaints.

Excellent. I made this into meatballs instead of burgers, and they were just bursting with flavor. The seasonings brought out the flavor of the meat really well without being overpowering. I was afraid the balls/burgers might be too hot with this amount of mustard, but they were fine for children too (if you leave off the chillies, but those are on the meat, not inside). A keeper.
