Malvani-style chicken sabji (Malvani sukka murg) from Chetna's 30 Minute Indian: Quick and Easy Everyday Meals (page 68) by Chetna Makan

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Delicious spice mix even though I didn't have black cardamom or star anise (ONE each!). Next time cube chicken instead of thin slices so as not to overcook and less water. Maybe something thicker than water. Actually tastier the next day.

The spice "paste" was very liquid, but did cook down. The chicken was very heavily spiced (it probably didn't help that I only had 3 chicken breasts, not 4), so pretty intense on its own, but quite enjoyable when eaten together with Indian coleslaw, plain yogurt, and paratha. It would also be good with rice.
