    I didn't have bitter greens so I just used batavia lettuce, but this was really good -- I thought it would be too sweet at first (I like things sour) but it was really addictive and felt very california on a cold winter day. recommend!

    This was delicious and pretty easy. BUT the saffron is lost in the mix. I would make it again, but save the saffron for paella. I used hazelnuts instead of pistachios (which would have popped in all the scarlet and orange colors).
