Tribute-to-Katherine-Hepburn brownies from Baking - From My Home to Yours (page 96) by Dorie Greenspan

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Very good. Fudgey

After making these I have decided extra fudgy brownies are not my favorite; these just came across as under-cooked to me (& extra time was added), a texture I tend to avoid in baked goods. Flavor was very chocolate-y, & the pecans had a nice crunch, although the chocolate gooiness kind of overwhelmed the pecan flavor. Probably just me--others in my family thought they were quite tasty.

These are quite delicious - slightly crisp outside and fudgy inside. Thin brownies, rather than thick ones. Edit: After a taste test - I like these slightly less than the original Hepburn brownies.

Fudgey. Have also baked these in 2 small 6" heart-shaped pans for Valentines.
