    The first time I made this recipe, I thought the dish was too sweet. The second time I made it, I used half of the plum syrup called for and added a lot of lemon juice. The flavors were sour, salty, and a bit sweet. This version is much better for my family and me. People loved not just the avocado, but the marinated onions and tomatoes. I make this dish a couple of hours before serving, letting the onions and tomatoes marinate. I add the avocado about an hour before serving. So so good!
