Simplest tomato salad from Mollie Katzen's Vegetable Heaven: Over 200 Recipes For Uncommon Soups, Tasty Bites, Side-by-Side Dishes, and Too Many Desserts (page 7) by Mollie Katzen

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Good recipe for garden fresh tomatoes. I had a pound of cherry tomatoes that were bursting from the rain and this salad was a great use for them. Cooking the scallions reminded me of Chinese cooking flavors. This would be a good side for a Chinese dinner spread.

As the book itself says: a minimalist recipe for enhancing tomatoes' natural brilliance. You do need very good tomatoes for this, but it does make them just that bit better, a fuller, "meatier", flavor.
