Baker's wife potatoes (Pommes de terre à la boulangère) from Essential Pépin: More Than 700 All-Time Favorites from My Life in Food (page 119) by Jacques Pépin

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Accompaniments: Roast leg of lamb

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I made a quarter of the recipe with red-skinned potatoes and really enjoyed it. Need to check it a bit earlier next time as the top was a bit overcooked.

Agreed on the baking duration as ours were also a bit over cooked. I'd likely also go with a bit less liquid. That said, lovely flavour on this and very easy. Great for a lazy weekend on a cold day where the oven does most of the work. A nice alternative to a heavier gratin style potato dish.

Great flavor. Baked for 50 minutes and potatoes were fall-apart. Next time check earlier for scalloped potato texture. Mixed with leftover pulled pork for a one pot dinner - next time add a salad.
