    Delicious. I subbed regular milk for some of the half and half in the soaking liquid to make it less rich. The second time I replaced all the half and half with milk-perfect. Only need half the amount of whip cream topping, which is WAY too sweet-like burn your throat sweet. In future I will make Altons cake but Pat Jiniches frosting. ( 1 cup heavy cream to two tbsp powdered sugar.)
