Breakfast cookies from Martha Stewart Living Magazine, September 2012: The Home Issue (page 62)

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Can substitute currants for raisins.

I made the large-size cookies--there were eight for the whole batch, each one the size of a dinner plate. Honestly, they were too big. A half recipe would be more manageable, and half-size cookies as well (or quarter-size). I'd like them better with even more raisins and dried fruit. Also, they don't seem particularly breakfasty. They're just oatmeal cookies with lots of add-ins.
