Chocolate peanut butter cookies from The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook: Recipes and Wisdom from an Obsessive Home Cook (page 203) by Deb Perelman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

These were good. They are crumbly, both the dough and the cookie. I like them better with the filling because it holds them together nicely. I would keep the logs in the freezer more than the 30 minutes to make them easier to cut. Mine needed 11 minutes in the oven. I had lots of filling too, even ended up with some extra.

I didn’t get around to making the filling, but the cookies turned out fine - if not a tad crumbly. They are not oily, which is good. I went with the slice and bake option due to toddlers helping. In my opinion they could use a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking. Not show stoppers, but a decent quick cookie.
