Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Romesco vinaigrette

    • jzanger on May 25, 2020

This is a good recipe to use as a template even if you don’t follow it to a T. I had some hazelnuts that needed to be used so I subbed them for the almonds. I also found it needed more olive oil, and I used frozen roasted sweet “frying” peppers instead of the piquillos so I added a pinch of smoked hot paprika to add a bit of heat.

  • Lemony barley salad with kale pesto

  • Arctic char with charmoula

    • sharone7 on April 11, 2021

This is delicious and super fresh tasting. I used half the olive oil (1/6 cup) in the charmoula and still felt like I could have cut it down a little more.

  • Curried maple-mustard chicken breasts

    • muendy on August 18, 2014

The marinade was delicious with roasted cauliflower.

  • Red-and-green coleslaw

    • hirsheys on June 22, 2019

Easy and very basic. It's a pretty mild slaw, but tasted quite good with the pulled chicken I made. (I made a half recipe of the dressing and used a bag of pre-shredded slaw).

  • Blackberry buttermilk smoothies

    • bching on July 24, 2021

Used up some buttermilk which is why I chose this recipe. It was good enough to drink but I wouldn't buy buttermilk to make this.
