    Confetti slaw (pg. 149) is a traditional slaw (cabbage, carrot, fennel) but with the addition of cooked millet which I liked very much. The dressing uses walnut oil, picking up the walnuts in the slaw itself. I will repeat this recipe or at least the idea of adding millet to a slaw.

    Aunt Mimi's new potatoes, green beans, and bacon with dill (pg 135). Okay, I was used to the new potatoes and dill being one dish and the green beans and bacon being a second dish. This combination works well.
