Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Freeze-ahead chocolate & chestnut parfait

    • Seren_Ann on January 13, 2016

We ate this frozen like an ice cream, but I think it was meant to be thawed. This probably explains why some of the chocolate and chestnut taste must have been lost. Next time I would also make bigger chunks of the amaretti biscuit as they seemed to have completely disappeared into the mixture. Overall it was decent though, a nice change, with very festive flavours, the bits of orange were a treat.

  • Baked sea bass with lemon caper dressing

    • Peterkjsoe on September 11, 2024

This is so easy and quick

  • Aperol & limoncello cocktail

    • anya_sf on April 09, 2020

Not bad. I used Campari and scaled the recipe down for 1 smallish drink (1.5 oz OJ, 1 oz Campari, 0.5 oz each limoncello and vodka, splash triple sec). Served over lots of ice, it was a nice aperitif.

    • TrishaCP on April 13, 2020

This was very easy drinking and a good use of limoncello (if you are looking for more than after dinner sips of it).

  • Venison steaks with Stroganoff sauce & shoestring fries

    • Jane on May 23, 2015

The sauce was great and could be used for anything you might want a delicious mushroom sauce. It went well with the venison steaks. I didn't make the shoestring fries, just served new potatoes and green beans.
