    This book seems to achieve the balance between interesting, different recipes and and things you want to cook that you need a recipe for. It is neither too faffy, nor too basic. We have borrowed it from a library and tested the Devilled Kidneys recipe, but it looks like it deserves promotion to the 'purchased' bookshelf.
