Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Caramelized onions

    • Pandan on May 04, 2024

Worked really well and were tasty on the burger

  • The loose meat sandwich [Iowa]

    • ethedens on January 15, 2025

I added a lot of salt and pepper so maybe that is why mine was less bland. My sandwich was definitely more about the mustard and the pickles, though. I also don't think I had the fattiest ground beef. This was very easy to do. Note that the updated cookbook also has this recipe but that recipe does not include the beer. I'm not sure that would have made a difference. 3.5/5

  • The teriyaki burger [Hawaii]

    • ethedens on March 07, 2024

Absolutely delicious. A little complicated to do but worth it. Don't skimp on Kewpie. 4.5/5

  • Teriyaki sauce

    • ethedens on March 07, 2024

      Very solid. 4/5

  • Teriyaki marinade

    • ethedens on March 07, 2024

Good. Couldn't taste too much in final product. 3.5/5

  • The olive burger [Michigan]

    • ethedens on May 02, 2024

Did not salt burgers as instructed and was the right decision. Liked the olive spread. Better with grilled onions.

  • Harry's Schnäck sauce

    • Pandan on May 04, 2024

For my taste the sauce was missing a sweet touch, but Motz doesn’t seem to like sweet sauces in burgers like I do. My husband loved the sauce though.
