  • Spicy stuffed cabbage rolls

These were good. I made the bbq sauce in advance to save some time when assembling the cabbage rolls. The resulting cabbage rolls taste like a little meatloaf in a not-really-spicy bbq sauce. My only real issue with this recipe is the cooking time for me was pretty far off. The recommended time is 30-35 minutes, but mine took over an hour before they were fully cooked. Also, if I made these again I would make more sauce. One cup of sauce doesn't go very far in a 9x13" baking dish.

  • Sweet and spicy BBQ sauce

    • hbakke on June 25, 2020

I substituted brown sugar for the honey and cooked this the 15 minutes as written in the recipe. The sauce wasn't thickened enough at 15 minutes, maybe because of the substitution. This BBQ sauce tasted good with a more pronounced molasses flavor. I would make this again.
