Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Duo of ahi tuna

    • Mrs. L on February 25, 2021

To make this lower carb I substituted butter lettuce for the rice. I used some asparagus instead of sea beans.

  • Crawfish étouffée

    • mjes on September 08, 2021

I used crab given where I live. I was impressed by the results - my first ever etouffee.

  • Pork chops with apples, carrots, and mustard sauce

    • paula_2jbrri on May 12, 2026

I did what I usually do with pork chops: I cooked them rare using Sous Vide. I cooked the apples and carrots, then transferred them to a bowl. Next, I used the same skillet to sear the pork chops. While the apples and carrots were cooking, I made the mustard sauce in a small skillet. Everything came together nicely, I didn’t heat up the kitchen with the oven, and I didn’t use every pot and pan I have.

  • Spice-crusted pork tenderloin and black bean cakes

    • Mrs. L on February 25, 2021

Just made the pork and avocado mousse. Worked well.
