      Simple enough to be a fast weeknight meal - takes just longer than it takes to cook the pasta. So delicious. Left out the chilli for kids and just used a packet of crab meat (blue swimmer)

  • Caramelised onion and tomato tart

      We found some ox heart tomatoes at the market and made this as a simple starter for lunch. Could use a savoury touch, maybe some cheese ?

  • Banana, peanut butter and caramel mud cake

      "Takes the cake" but NOT in a good way! Absolutely the worst cake I have ever made. I would NOT recommend it. You can't taste the peanut butter, the cake is overly sweet.. and "mud" is a misnomer.. a complete and utter waste of ingredients, time & money (and I consider myself a pretty good cook!). Three slices cut for coffee and cake and the rest is going to the compost bin. It's the second time I've made a Phoebe Wood cake and the second !@#p cake. If only Valli Little were still around.
