    This is a quick easy recipe with maximum flavor. As written it will be quite hot and spicy but for our palate I reduced the sambal oelek and jalapeño chilies to about 1/3 of what was called for and there was still plenty of heat and zip. Next time I would cut the onions a bit smaller, perhaps into fourths to make it cook better and more easier to eat.

    This was easy, cheap, and quick! It's not my favorite curry-type stew, but the flavor and texture were good. I'd make this again.

    This was perfectly fine but not exciting. It needed something to elevate it. Tried lime, and it helped a little but not enough.

    Fabulous soup made exactly as directed. My husband is of Romanian descent. He said its taste was perfectly authentic. The vinegar taste was subdued, just enough to make the soup interesting. The onions really brought it home!

    Made this for Easter Dinner and it was delicious. I may half the recipe for the pickled onions next time but I'm sure they can be useful in a lot of different tacos.

    The aroma from this cake is wonderful. The cake itself has a lovely light but rich texture and flavor that melds perfectly with the plums. The spiced almond crumble adds a nice bit of crunch and an enticing warm spice flavor. All in all a most unusual and lovely cake especially when it is warm.
