Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Multigrain rolls

    • eliza on February 07, 2026

These rolls are really excellent; I did adapt and change the recipe a lot. I disregarded all the instructions, and made them my way: mix and 30 min autolyse in bread machine, then knead about 14 min with salt and yeast, overnight in fridge, shaped and baked next day. I milled red fife for the whole grain (A&B grains), used bread flour (Arva), omitted millet, total sweetener was 1T molasses, 2T brown sugar. I mistakenly put the egg into the dough, a good addition. I originally was looking for breads to use Canadian hemp hearts I ordered, and these only use 2T but they add something to the finished bread. Made 12, baked 375 10 min steam, 10 min no steam.

  • Ravioli with chicken sausage and kale

    • SalsaSister on April 09, 2026

Used some dry spinach and cheese tortellini that was lurking in my cupboard for a while instead of the ravioli. Also added leftover cooked carrots for more veggies. Very good !

  • Mushroom noodle soup with soft-boiled eggs

    • kaityblueeyes on September 21, 2022

Simple and tasty! A great way to use up odds and ends in the fridge. I used chicken broth I made this past weekend and added chickpea noddles for extra protein. Great vegetarian dinner!
