  • The Sprinkles red velvet cupcake

    • anya_sf on June 22, 2017

I made 1/2 recipe = 6 cupcakes. I thought I followed the directions exactly, but maybe I overbaked them a little, because they were kind of dry. Otherwise the flavor was good. The frosting was very good - there was a lot. Overall, though, I thought these were good, but not great.

  • Flourless chocolate cupcakes

    • janereads on December 23, 2025

The flavor of this batter is outstanding. I used KA's Triple Cocoa powder. These cupcakes are rich-tasting, with texture similar to a brownie. The top edges are a bit crispy and great for nibbling. I did not make the creme fraiche topping; just wanted something easy, chocolate and flourless. I checked this book out of the library. Unrelated note: I've been an EYB subscriber and "lurker" for years. Thought it was about time I submitted a review. Thank you to those of you who have been posting for years!

  • Copper pot fudge

So easy! So good! Definitely use a chocolate you love to eat! I’ve made many times with a variety of different chocolates and it always comes out perfect.
