I've made two recipes and both needed tweaking. Good ideas though.

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Crunchy savory chickpeas

    • ChelseaP on May 22, 2021

The best crunchy chickpea recipe I've ever tried. They ACTUALLY go crunchy and stay that way for days.

  • Kitchari

    • vinochic on September 12, 2018

We did add a little onion, garlic and ginger, and it was very good. Very nourishing and comforting.

  • Roasted broccoli and lemon with feta, pickled shallots, and pine nuts

    • ginger2212 on June 14, 2022

      Lovely delicious side dish!

  • Millet and cauliflower mash

    • ginger2212 on February 23, 2022

A lovely side dish if you want mashed cauliflower or don't want potatoes. Loved the nuttiness of the millet.

    • Stefphe on April 17, 2026

Very nice. I made this exactly as written, except I used frozen cauliflower and cooked it in an Instant Pot. To the Instant Pot: Added oil and onion. Sautéed for 3 minutes until softened. Added millet, water, garlic, and salt, then stirred. Placed frozen cauliflower on top without stirring. Set to high pressure for 10 minutes. Natural release for 10 minutes. Blended in a Vitamix.

  • Not-fried rice and vegetables

    • ginger2212 on February 23, 2022

Great flavors for such a quick, easy recipe!

  • Saturday chopped salad

    • ginger2212 on February 23, 2022

DELICIOUS salad and the dressing!! I've never had so many compliments on a salad dressing.

  • Italian white bean and tuna salad with capers

    • DKennedy on October 08, 2019

This recipe needs some tweaking. The salad dressing was interesting as written, but I think it might be better with lemon instead of wwvinegar. Also, I reduced the amount of salt to 1/8 t. grey salt. The salad itself was bland, bland, bland! Next time, sauté the white beans in olive oil, add a smashed garlic clove, sliced shallot, thyme rosemary, and a few of the basil stems. Season with s and p. For the tuna, do not drain the oil in the can or use freshly poached tuna.

  • Fall salad with pumpkin pie-spiced roasted pears, Manchego, and walnuts

    • julesamomof2 on December 24, 2022

Tested this recipe out as a contender for Christmas dinner and it was a hit. The only change I made was I did not roast the pears but instead just sliced them fresh. I like to mix it up and serve a different crisp green salad each year and this one is a winner.

  • Picadillo

    • ginger2212 on February 23, 2022

Not the most authentic picadillo but it tasted really good! Easy for weeknight dinner :)

  • Mexican millet casserole

    • Dcampos on September 24, 2018

This was tasty. I added some roasted butternut squash.

  • White bean tahini blondies

    • vinochic on November 13, 2018

very tasty. i did add the coconut flour and found it made the blondies a bit crumbly, so would probably try it without next time,

  • Grain-free chocolate zucchini cake

    • ginger2212 on February 23, 2022

This is a magical cake!! You would have no idea that there are isn't flour in it. It's deeply chocolate-y and moist. My friend, who is a baker, was obsessed and couldn't believe how simple and delicious it was.

  • Everyday salad dressing

    • ginger2212 on February 23, 2022

This dressing is OUTSTANDING. The best vinaigrette/dressing for any salad.
