Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Basil, courgette, and pistachio pasta

    • maud_jam8wr on May 29, 2026

I loved this. Husband thought it was a bit in the bland side (though he devoured it). Could do with some protein added to it. Note to myself - this is very much not a 15 min recipe when needing to shell the pistachios first ?? (I couldn’t find shelled ones in my local Sainsbury’s)

  • Creamy mixed mushroom farfalle

    • Alliehipp on March 27, 2026

Delish! Quick and easy! Added 1/2 can of navy beans and fresh parsley instead of chives (just what I had on hand)

  • Harissa chickpeas with squash and pomegranate

    • jessica_8s3n6x on March 01, 2026

This was awesome. Very visually appealing and also tasted great and had lots of great texture. I used Rancho Gordo black chickpeas.

Love this recipe and make it weekly. So easy to scale up for guests too.

  • Healing black dal

    • eleanor_a29a0o on April 20, 2026

I was excited about this recipe and found the flavour a bit disappointing, which was a shame as it’s a great book. It was surprisingly bland. I’m sure with some spice tweaking it would be good but I wouldn’t make it again as it is.

  • Tropical smoothie bowl with granola

    • KateS27 on May 04, 2026

I made this as a smoothie instead of a bowl. Yum!

  • Maple tahini overnight oats

    • KateS27 on May 29, 2026

This isn’t the most flavorful oat base on its own, though the tahini definitely comes through. However, when topped with the berries, maple syrup, and a pinch of cinnamon, it is really quite lovely. I appreciate the savory quality of the tahini and that it’s not an overly sweet bowl of oats. I did also add a tiny bit more milk once the oats had rested overnight as it was quite thick (as mentioned in the recipe).

  • Carrot cake overnight oats

    • NicoleBrown on April 29, 2026

Tasty enough, but I found the liquid to oats ratio to be pretty off. I added ginger to the spices and swapped out the maple syrup for some chopped dates. Probably won’t repeat, but fun to try!

  • Cacao, banana, and avocado bowl

    • Ajammies on February 12, 2026

I’m not a fan of cacao/coco in puddings/mousse/ice cream etc so might be delicious for someone who likes it

  • Babushka's blinis with berry compote

    • Ajammies on February 12, 2026

      Recommend doubling fruit compote

  • Blueberry and banana muffins

    • lily_8fcqq7 on April 13, 2026

Added a crumble topping / vanilla to base / doubled recipe
