Burdock sauteed in sesame (Kimpira gobo) - this is great as a side-dish or as an element of a bento box. It includes carrot as well as burdock - have fun with the carrot color. Seasoning is sesame seeds, mirin, soy, dashi, and red chili. This is one of my frequently repeated recipes. Burdock has a reputation for controlling sugar levels; diabetics may want to be cautious adding burdock to their diet.
