    A different take on a mac & cheese really .. I used penne pasta .. maybe shells style would be better. Tasty enough.

• Tagliatelle with sugar peas in a lemon butter sauce

    The simplest of sauces - lemon butter sauce - and totally delicious. Certainly will be cooking this one again.

• Self-saucing fish

    Interesting way to prepare fish. Vegetable sauce has a great texture and taste. I will try this recipe next time with either flake or tommie ruffs.

• Beef vindaloo from Chishti's

    Didn't have time for overnight marinating: so just a mere hour. Quite a nice curry, but I don't think its a good example of a true vindaloo (either that or I'm getting too used to hot foods)

    This was incredibly easy. I left the boiled fruit mix to cool overnight, finishing baking it in the morning. Incredibly moist. Very tasty.
