  • Lasagna Bolognese, simplified

This recipe may be simplified, but it still took several hours to make. Nonetheless, it was delicious and I'd definitely make it again. I did substitute Italian sausage for the veal and couldn't help but add some garlic and dried basil and oregano. I also chopped the vegetables by hand and used crushed tomatoes to avoid dirtying the food processor. If feeding a teenage boy, this does not serve 8.

  • Sesame noodles with shredded chicken

    • anya_sf on October 03, 2024

I made 1/2 recipe using 8 oz spaghetti; there was enough sauce. The sauce was thinner than expected - maybe because the food processor didn't fully grind the sesame seeds - but still coated the noodles okay. I added a smaller amount of already-cooked chicken (not this recipe) plus red bell pepper and cucumber. Flavor was good. Probably won't make this again as I've made similar recipes that are just as good where the sauce is mixed by hand.
