Can substitute ground turmeric for fresh turmeric, dark brown sugar for palm sugar; Thai basil or Italian basil for lemon basil; and Fresno, Thai, or other long red chiles for Holland chiles.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This is a great side salad with an otherwise meat-heavy meal, such as satay.
