The best crab cakes from Serious Eats

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This came out to be the best tasting with the perfect texture crab cake ever. Most are mushy, overworked and over-fried patties of unknown flavor. Not this. A little fussy instructions, but the steps are well written and easily followed. Made mine into 8 inch long cylinder as instructed and sliced into 8 equal pieces instead of 6 with the foil intact. I also added 1 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning. Spectacular for a crab lover like me. Photo added.

Made this for easter and served on top of David Lebovitz's fennel, radish, orange salad. Perfect meal! To make it Paleo I used almond flour mixed with arrowroot powder (2/3-1/3) and ghee/grapeseed oil. It worked beautifully.
