    I had penne pasta, smoked salmon, half and half, frozen peas, and butter in my fridge upon returning from Christmas holiday vacation, so this recipe was great to use and pretty simple to put together. I wanted something like the penne al salmone I used to eat regularly at an Italian restaurant when I lived in Germany. This was reminiscent of that but way more buttery compared to Alfredo sauced one I loved. This was still a nice, easy supper using a few ingredients. The recipe would also work at room temp or as a salad, cold, for warmer weather.
