    A very comforting winter side dish. I could also see this fitting nicely on the Thanksgiving table. I don’t eat meat, but I could see adding cooked shredded chicken to make a full meal. I used a mix of Gruyère and cheddar as my cheeses. Also, in the future I’d use the pot that I cooked the broccoli in to make my cheese sauce. It saves on washing.

    This is my favorite broccoli cheese casserole. It's so creamy and flavorful and the shallots in the breadcrumbs provide a lovely touch.

    A rather nice broccoli casserole. It's not too difficult to make and the cheese mostly complements the broccoli instead of overpowering it.
