Nectarine galette from My Kitchen Year: 136 Recipes That Saved My Life (page 18) by Ruth Reichl

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This galette is good when you want an easy-to-make dessert featuring late summer fruit. It's nothing fancy, but still delicious. My nectarines were fairly ripe, so they produced a lot of extra juice when marinating in the sugar. This wasn't a problem, except the the juices leaked out onto the baking sheet where they caused quite a mess. Fortunately, that didn't adversely affect the galette, other than the fact that it was a little harder to pry it from the pan. Next time, I will bake it atop a silicone mat.
