Thai pork and rice porridge (Jok moo) from Cravings - Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat (page 109) by Chrissy Teigen and Adeena Sussman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This doesn’t seem like it would be amazing but it is. So much flavor. Great when you are sick. The rice turns into a delicious thick broth. Made it for my mom and she asked me for the recipe and has made it several times. Makes a ton though!

Hearty and delicious. Would make again but would add some vegetables — maybe zucchini or cooked, seasoned mushrooms — on top. Otherwise is very rice-heavy.

I've made this several times and it's always delicious. This last time I used ground turkey and weird gloopy rice and it was still quite tasty. The rice tastes pretty bland before adding the dumplings, so don't taste for seasoning until after everything has been added. A warm, comforting bowl of soup. Yummy!
