Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?
Accompaniments: Rice with crunchy fried badis and green beans (Badi barbatti pulau); Cracked black pepper rice (Mola hora); Vishakha's cream of vegetable dal soup (Sabji dal shorba); Rice and split pea khichari with fried cashews (Khara matar dal khichari / Pongal); Green beans with coconut (Barbatti nariyal sabji); Deep-fried shredded plantain clusters (Khasa kacha kela bhaji)
Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.
