    This a lovely pastry recipe! I used it to make some ground beef “hand pies” (not from this book) and it rolled beautifully and baked up flaky & crisp. I don’t use the vodka trick in every pastry recipe I make but every time I do, I get excellent results. Her instructions re: how to wrap the dough in plastic wrap seemed a bit over the top but I guess they would help you ultimately roll a rectangle for one of her slab pies. I will make this pastry again!
