Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    This was easy to make and although I am not a sambal oelek expert was very tasty in our main recipe. I didn't know what kind of large red pepper to use but my neighborhood Latin store has a reliable supply of red jalapenos and they worked out just fine. Easy and glad to have a sambal oelek with all the additives of store bought jars.
